Each year, National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week is hosted by the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) in partnership with the National Associations of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) to recognize and celebrate the work of EMS clinicians. Special theme days of EMS Week help to structure the week’s activities, with Wednesday set aside for EMS for Children (EMSC) Day.
EMSC Day places a spotlight on the delivery of high-quality care for critically ill or injured children in prehospital settings and the work of the federal EMSC Program.

The 2023 EMS Week theme is “Where Emergency Care Begins.”
In honor of EMSC Day, the EMSC Program will be releasing a special “thank you” video and holding a webinar about pediatric emergency care coordinators’ role in EMS agencies.
